The Mreznica River is one of four rivers located in Karlovac area, Croatia. It's 64 km (40 mi) long, and is considered special for its large number of waterfalls, having a total of 93. It’s green and clear water, and stunning landscapes makes it one of the Croatia’s most desirable continental retreats. The accommodation and restaurants are available in the area, as the town of Karlovac is not far either, but be sure to bring your bathing suit and other swimming equipment, as you’re going to need it.
You can enjoy rafting, canoeing, kayaking and swimming during the season – from May to November, in this amazing inland beauty. During the high water summer season, waterfalls make pools of warm water between them which makes perfect refreshment away from the coast and beach crowd.
After a few hours of swimming among the brave fish looking to get to know you better, and not being afraid of getting close to you, you will feel completely refreshed and overwhelmed by the river’s force and beauty.
Be sure to visit the Mreznica River’s highest waterfalls that are about 10m (25ft), as the area is absolutely magical for romance, swimming or having a picnic.
WHERE IS IT HOW TO GET THERE WHAT IS IT WHAT TO SEE
