Huacachina is a small town - oasis, 5km from Ica, in southwestern Peru. The town is built around the small lake and otherwise completely sorrounded by desert. |

A series of hundreds of geoglyphs known as the Nazca lines, are located in the Nazca desert in Peru. The many figures represent from simple forms to much more complex drawings of animals and people, some of which stretch to up to 250m (900ft) in length. |

This National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage site consists of glaciers that belonged to southern Patagonia’s ice cap. The most impressive one is Perito Moreno. The gateway to this glacier is a small town called El Calafate, located in the area where the Santa Cruz plateau meets the Andes. |
