Nin is the oldest Croatian royal town. It's exceptional type of city-church complex makes it unique in the entire Mediterranean. Nin was one of the main settlements of the Liburnians until the arrival of the Roman conquerors, and since then known as the Municipium named Aenona.
This small town is very rich in cultural and historic monuments as well as in archaeological findings. Among others there are two old Croatian boats called "Condura Croatica" from the 11th century, a RomanTemple, the bronze statue of the famous Croatian Bishop Gregorius, and the St. Cross Church - the smallest Cathedral in the world (9th century)
Although you will come here to rest and have fun, the history will enchant you with it's rich legacy of stories almost at every corner.
Nin's sand beaches represent an ideal place for families with small children and old people to rest, however, all those who wish some sport activities can satisfy their needs in the renowned Holiday Village of Zaton at only 15 minutes of walk from the center.
